I have a few small canvas' laying around and decided to paint an image I had in my head

It's Andy Biersack from the band Black Veil Brides, inspired by the song "New Years Day" from the new album Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones.

as I said, it was an image in my head. One of my professors in college that was reminded of Edvard Munch in the background, which is kinda true. I love his work! Only a matter of time before something popped up to show it

the lines in the background were created with a new texture brush I picked up, and I'm loving it!

usually background are pretty bad for me, recently i've been having a lot of luck with that and I'm so thankful that they've been coming out nice.

I love how his tattoos look, and I do know the hand is awkward but it would've been more awkward with the original plan. I'm working with hands more.

It's a small painting, if I'm right it's a 14" x 17" canvas and acrylic paint was used.
